its easy enough getting in, but its hellaciously hard to get back out!

I can assure you that when you left impression on you you could say you had met a true genuine Southern Gentleman that would leave a lasting impression on you.

I have known Gene since I was a kid and I have never ran across anyone that had anything negative to say about him,it would also be a Bonus to meet his wife Ruth. HRP

 

There is just so many I would love to meet in person.

But in fear that it would either blow my mind, or break my heart to go back again. But then again if I took a weekend with HRP, we could go and visit Gene, because just thinking that he was a humble but famous race since way back when, and then see pictures of him sitting in his beat up old hulk of a race car body, and then the whole emotional rollercoaster of the build/rebuild of "The Moonligter" brings a tear in my eye, every time.

Same feeling I get with ol' 3W, except I missed out on that one.

I just wish I get to see a single HAMB outside Denmark, IRL!

Initially, I reported this thread. I was afraid that the truth would come out. I spent a weekend with @iwanaflattie and it was the best weekend of my life.

It would be hard to pick just one, but I think I would enjoy some time with HRP, but I don't see how I could, because he's always on the HAMB so much!

Perhaps, Don Garlits . I would love to sit down with him and pick his brain a few days.

I already know several HAMBERS, but others I'd like to meet someday would be Falcon George, Squirrel, Bruce Fisher, Moriarity, 55 Willys, Pork 'n Beaner, Mad Mikey, Lothiandon, Hot Rod Don, Loudbang, etc.

I'm sure I missed a few, but I always seem to find these guys quite friendly, and interesting, and a wealth of knowledge.

Of course, there's Ryan.

 

Jim,Doug,Herb,and Bob. Somehow these guys all communicate with each other and I with them.Not always on car stuff either.There was something that grabbed each others' attention to make a connection.

 

Too hard to choose but I`ll throw Bruce Lancaster up

I should mention that my door is always open, which could be a good thing if you come to my place by way of mid town.

 

lothiandon and Montana would both be right up on my list, and Tony, and Moriarity, Lost in the fifties, Chip, olscrounger, Bruce Lancaster, Jim, Mad Mikey, Invisible kid, DDDenny, Irant, Koz and on and on and on. Pretty much most of the regulars. Halibrand Steve and I ALMOST met, but I wound up sick as a dog that day, We gotta rectify that one.
I wont name the guys I have actually met, theres a bunch, and it would be pretty embarrassing if I missed someone!

 

I hope that was just a spelling error. Meating imply's something totally weird.

Meeting would be the better word. HRP
