Here's my Man-A-Fre for a small Ford (289) that uses 4 Rochester 2-jets. WAY better than the 2 Edelbrock 500's I had before, good down low and pulls to 8,000 rpm.

That is neat I can't remember ever seeing a Man-A-Fre on a small block Ford or any other ford powerplant.

 

Kamp - The 289 is a crankin' little engine. Always liked the little Ford.

 

Yeah, thanks, I like the 289. Runs 12 teens at 110 mph...not too bad for a 9.25 compression pump gas street car under 300 cu.in...

this is essentially correct.

 

I think my Crower will take that top...but I will just have to leave as is... just a fresh up and a tune up.

Interesting, I can not tell what the hell they are! Maybe someone will know.

 

Hard to tell, but I think they are 4V Strombergs.

OK Mikey and other experts what is this SHORT injection unit and scoop? (car in near lane)

 

Not a lot of detail showing in that photo but both Hilborn and later Crower built injectors like that, as did Enderle with the throttle shaft and butterflies on the front of the scoop, I'm not sure which one that is. Hilborn and the Crower are four hole, and the more popular, taller Enderle is three hole. Enderle's are in three sizes, the early Bug Catcher, then the Bird, and lastly Buzzard.

I would have to guess, CROWER, but hard to tell exactly from the picture. Cool shot for sure.
