^^^ That's looking sharp. Remember to wash your toothbrush properly, before using it on your teeth again. Dust don't taste real nice.... My modern issues of this kit, don't come with the cowl mounted Ariel. I wonder if that's a way to date it?
One of a series of Protar models offered by Cycle World magazine in the 60's if I remember correctly. I should have bought one of each. The chrome isn't aging well. One ninth scale I think.
A work in progress from the Revell "Ace McCulloch" funny car kit. This one is about detailing, but I like the color so much there won't be any decals / logos added
Starting on this 40 coupe,picked it up on ebay for 5 dollars and was not glued togather much so it will be a easy restoration. It was stock except for the Buick motor so I added a dropped axle and will be building it in a late 60s style with a 289 of the FE from the 34 p/u for power.
I have the AJS 7R and BMW rennsport. they were available through Cycle World, but they were also in hobby shops and so on, it wasn't any kind of exclusive deal or anything.

These look good sitting together, and you're right, the box art is kool. These were simple and fun to build. Pretty neat.
Looks like it might be a Maisto Harley- they made a whole series of early Harleys in a couple different scales
The BMW was from Cycle World, the AJS is from a hobby shop, you can see some differences in the box art. I wish I had more of these, especially the Guzzi V-8!

Day late as usual, but I am making some progress on my '58 Ford. Now raised up with a slight forward rake, straight axle from the Little Red Wagon (the springs line up with the frame perfectly), arched rear springs from the AMT '56 Ford, stock '57 9-inch. Front mags are parts box, tires IMC Mustang or LRW; rear mags from AMT '70 Chevy, tires are Jo-Han M/T cheater slicks. Engine is a dual quad 427 SOHC, mostly from the AMT '68 Mustang with a few parts box additions: Body was pieced together from a scruffy convertible and a near-junk hardtop. I'm thinking Sun Gold and Raven Black two-tone.
