  1. Billet anything, stuff of any kind hanging from my rear-view mirror. My theorem: The driver's intelligence is in inverse proportion to the amount of sh*t hanging from their rear-view mirror. It's corollary: The trucker's masculinity is in inverse proportion to anything hanging from his trailer ball.

  12. Anything that isn't necessary. Everything on the car has a purpose. Everything else isn't there. Chevrolet did all the decorating it needs.
Stickers! If a trained parrot can install one, it doesn't count as a modification.
No do-dads, trinkets, gee-gaws, models of the car on the car. Trophies in the car! Is that supposed to be like a street guitarist tossing a few coins & bills in his case as ''draw money''?

No doubt about it, I'm going to burn in hell!............Is the cup holder ok if its holding a beer?

  14. OK. From what Dan in Pasedena is saying, I'm guessing that some guys' wives want to be with them and join in their hobby so they craft these dolls so they can go to car shows and participate. In that case I get it, anything that brings people together is a good thing.

That said, they still creep me out. A doll without kid always seems ready to be possessed by Satan and start talking to you by your name or chasing Karen Black around with a kitchen knife. IMG_1486296396.778610.jpg

Any system controlled by electricity which could conceivably be controlled by something else. Except ignition: some diesels are interesting but ruling out spark ignition is just taking this principle way too far. But I'd take a magneto over a coil and distributor if a more sophisticated advance regime could be rigged. EFI is out (we won't even mention electric propulsion ...)

Anything which can't be taken apart and fixed, if there is an alternative which can be taken apart and fixed. I don't care how traditional sealed beam headlights are.

Tilt steering column. I've just never seen the point.

  16. Why the big shade blanket for the SBC?

The SBC if fine with me (and should be with anyone claiming to know anything) but it can't have accessory hole heads or cheap aftermarket valve covers or goofy intakes- that's where the SBC violation happens and you've got to give up the traditional claim. Give it up peacefully or get shamed out of it.

Alternators??? Early Mopar style only - on 1961ish to 64 (or where ever the cut off date has moved to) style builds. Blends well with torque thrust wheels and other cool stuff from weiand for the same time period.

  17. Fuck, that is one depressing craft.

Generators ?- I like alternators, I like those cool looking early Mopar jobs.

This thread makes me want to build a car that includes every part that people "would never have!". Cupholders are the bomb. You ever try to drive with a 7-eleven big gulp between your legs??

*Just to note - my current cupholder is wedging my drink in between the trans hump and fire extinguisher.

I liked it better when we didn't say this stuff out loud and just quietly judged each other.

Holy crap Ted! How did I forget those? I've never seen any on a hot rod before just the self-incriminating big trucks that drive around here.
