Got a sweet little Henry J today. Never seen one so stock, even with all 4 hubcaps. I got it because its the first old car I've had that my wife liked. How long that will last???

  3. Wow that's a clean one! Those are always cut to shreds or just rusted to nothing!

I had a stock 51 for a while. It was fun. Good mileage, but slow. Had too much rust to fix.

Great,I think "J"s are fun. My #2 car was a "J" got it used in 1960,still love'm, I worked on it a lot an by 1961 it was full custom with V8 Olds Rocket power. My #1 was 28A but it was a roadster in very bad shape, tell I made it in to hotrod. The "J" made Car Craft in Jan.1963

With it being in that good of condition and that complete, I'd be hard pressed not to restore it. You just don't see them all stock/restored anymore...

Until about the time she goes shopping and realizes you can't fill the trunk from the outside. Lol.
Nice Henry J, what's the back story?

Great find. I have 3, one that has been restored, one that i am gasserizing and one that is for bits and pieces. All 3 started life the same blue as tour's.

  14. Just LOVE Henry Js. Our family car in the mid-50s was a 52 Henry J. I like stock, but will be delighted to see whatever you do with it. I see that it doesn't have the trunk, just access through the back seat. Somehow missed that earlier.

Nice score. I have a no-trunk model too but It 's way rustier than yours.

  16. Very nice score..My daughter has a 51 stock J just like this one. It runs and drives plus she just had new interior put in it. Runs down the road great around 65 mph.

10 years I've been offered 3 for FREE in that span of time and NEVER took the time to go get them.
Mine is somewhere in the middle should be restored BETTER (its a driver) or
for those who like to cut em up it ed make a good GASSER.
There out there , i've see some for sale , and the advertized price is WAY over what i'd take, some are worse than mine and they want 9k. Ah i'd have sellers remorse unless i knew it went to a good home...lol

Nice looking Henry J. Several years ago, a friend of mine found a nice stocker. It didn't stay stock for very long.

  23. They are not practical at all, I wish mine had been a trunk model.
