to the guy that said rent a dolly and pull the trailer out of the field. being a retired truck driver that probably was not an option I,.e. 8 flat tires sunk into the mud and the brakes rusted to drums remember it has sat there since the seventys jmo Tom

    Congrats.
I'm going to start opening up every old abandoned semi trailer I see.

  9. Not any more. Those particular ones anyway. Good score.

I know of a few stashes of NOT FOR SALE early ford stuff. I got my 35 3W out of one. The problem is there are so many guys with dollars standing in line the "little" guy will never get a shot. I can't drive more than one at a time so that's OK. I can live vicariously through threads like these on the Hamb.

    Thanks for sharing.

Amazing ! everytime i pass an old garage or barn or enclosure of any kind that appears to have been neglected for years i can't help wondering what treasures they may contain. Congrats on the awesome score. Off topic question : there is a highboy coupe in the backround of the last pic. What is the code or the reference name for that color maroon. It's the exact color i want for my 32 5 window. Thanks,Bob

I often wonder who will obtain or find the last 1957 Chevy Bel Air, two door hardtop. Not one that has been someone's "put away project car", that all the locals know about, but the one that fail to start, and was push back into the back of the barn, or behind the barn and not taken for a trade in.

    Thanks guys!
I haven't really decided what the future holds for them yet.
Been asked whats for sale multiple times, nothing yet, but maybe in the future to keep other projects moving forward.
Both of the cars are by no means mint, but very saveable with some straightening, lower patch, floor and rear subframe work. It has been really cool to find out exactly how the cars were assembled at the factory. They both retain small pieces of upholstery and the wood tack strips inside.
For now they will get put up on the shelf for a later date. First priority is my other roadster that will come to life this summer. Having two other original references has been an eye opener for this other roadster.

  28. I saw some of these pictures on IG, but I didn't make the connection that it was a southern Ontario find.

Out of curiosity, where was it? That's a hell of a score, you're a lucky man!

That is excellent....indeed, they are still out there!....I know of 3 old garages/sheds that have ''stuff'' in them within 20 miles, and the buildings just get more dilapidated every year...somebody will end up with the stuff at some point....What a great find you have scored....I think I would have had a hard time NOT running around in circles and telling everyone what I found within the 1st minutes...haha....good on ya'!!!:D
