  7. Glad to see that you're using fabric-covered wire. It just looks so right!

BTW, I can't figure out your last pic. Which way is up? o_O

Very nice indeed......however a "Baby Hemi" would have been my choice...and the battery cables at the battery box should have been hidden better.

Wow!, that thing is a work of automotive art! The fit, finish, and attention to detail is breathtaking.

The Austin Speed Shop team had a fantastic time at the GNRS 2017. Many thanks to John Buck and his Rodshows staff. Everything went so smoothly, and the quality of the cars was amazing. Congratulations to Troy Ladd and crew at Hollywood Hot Rods for a completely deserving win in the AMBR competition. What an incredible car, the design and execution are impeccable and we were lucky to spend a few days around it. All of the other AMBR cars were terrific, but Troy’s car was in a class alone.

I want to give a special thank you to Eric Black for designing the interior, and to Phil Cato for his impeccable execution. It was a great honor to receive the Best Upholstery Award. Eric had a hand in designing almost every AMBR car that won any kind of award. His talent is only surpassed by his humility and generosity. Our Relicate Leather selection is killer- thank you Josh! We didn’t win for Best Paint, but I will always have a Gary Howard paint job, and that’s really something. The color he developed is incredible. After extensive thoughtful and consideration over a margarita, the color name is no longer “Kail’s Beard”. Some people can’s spell Kail properly, so it is now Sunset Cinnamon Iridescent.

The entire experience was fantastic. What a gift to get to see the unveiling of the Beast IV. Thank you to Dan Webb, and Ashley and Cory Taubert for including us in this magnificent restoration unveiling. Darryl Hollenbeck and his team did an incredible job. There was so much amazing talent assembled at one time- I think we were all speechless. I can’t wait to dig into Tim and John’s archival history in the new Hop Up Magazine.

Kail, Rocco, Eric, Chris, Matt, Evan, Mike, Joyo- what can I say…you fellas make the path forward a riot. It was great seeing all our friends in Cali and we can’t wait the Roundup in April! Great looking car, I can appreciate all the incredible amount of work put into this build. From the beginning you could tell this was going to be special.
Thanks for letting me ride along and watch the build and completion, this has to be one of my favorite 32 roadsters.
Eric Black designed a 29 roadster pick-up for me that I am presently working on. Frank

Thanks everyone for following us on this build. We built the car with the intention of making it as a AMBR competitor, with a goal of just keeping up. We built this on a fraction of the proper budget one of these cars normally fetches and in a pretty quick amount of time. The feedback we received was flattering, and the winner was truly deserving. Thanks to all who came up and said hello, and to all the people we met and shared this experience with.

  24. Guy’s got to see the Roadster at the show and it turned out fantastic ! The Nickel plating against the body color really set it off. Congratulations for being in the AMBR competition – wear the jacket proud. As some others had told me last year welcome to the club.

  25. I loved it in bare metal, you guys finished it out perfect, great job. Can't wait to see it this year at your open house during roundup. Assuming you are going to have one again....
