  14. When I looked at a 62 buick electra, I opened the hood and there was a big old black snake there. The guy laughed and said no extra charge.I wound up buying the car.Bruce.

  15. My old eyes can't see it clear enough in the pic, but it looks like the F.I. emblem to me. The Tripower emblem was different. The F.I. was a $500 option that gave it 310hp.

HubNut, that is one terrific car. Tell us long it sat in that spot before you got it. I hope it still has original FI under hood. Do we know how few Bonnie FI where made in 58' ?
The Super 88 that I posted pics of , just went through BJ Auction. If I remember correctly, it was $ 23,500 out the door . I posted on our BJ thread. And a member here responded that he bought it. I asked for him to post more pics when he gets it home.
Just a younger guy, but looking that cars got lots bigger in 58' . You park either of these two next to a 58' Chev. What a difference? I love the body line where qtr dips down behind door.

  19. Never saw side windows like the ones on that '56 Canadian Ford sedan delivery. Were those original? Aftermarket addition? Something unique to Canadian Ford sedan deliveries?

After market some one has cut them in so as to lessen the blindspots. It was quite common.. hard to find a delivery unmolested these days.

  23. Some cool finds! I hope you scored that La Salle grill. I love that 56 delivery. The grill is much cooler than U.S. one. I Found this 64 El Camino. It's in great shape. That's a nice old Vette too! Great hunting everyone. Ron... 041.jpg

  24. Far as I know it's still sitting in that spot...it was way outta my price range lol. Buddy of mine took those pics a couple years ago. Completely original, low mileage car. The owner said 75k would buy it. Here's an interior shot thru the glass. 20131119_124341.jpg 20131119_124331.jpg

Back in the day we would install windows in sedan deliveries or panel vans/trucks just like that. Pick your size, lay on the template where you liked it and cut a hole. Then just install the glass with the rubber channel and a key rubber to lock it in. Dunno if it's still done. That's how the glass is held in place in the lid of my bead blast cabinet.

That looks way better than what I started with.

  28. The General consensus is that 200 Bonnevilles were equipped with the F.I. engine in '58.
