Hey folks, I am in a search for a pitman arm and the steering gear shaft size is throwing a curve ball at me. The shaft diameter is 1.71". And the spline count is coming up with 28 small and 4 masters. I can get a photo of the gear if needed. Does anyone have a clew what pitman arm fits this.
    Thanks for the help.

Knowing what the steering gear came out of would be a good place to start. Pictures of it would probably help folks figure that out for you.

Hey Jim, the gear is in a 37 ford coupe that was built in the 70's. So no idea of it's original use. I worn out my google finger and have came up with zippo.

looks like a 37 ford steering gear, from what I can see. But I'm not real familiar with them.
