That is honestly in better condition than half of them that come up for sale.

    Hey Ron,
You guys are great at finding local stuff out in the wilds. Sometimes I wish all of those finds end up getting refurbished, but more than likely, they will end up as some form of new metal back from the recyclers. I sometimes go on another car website and found this place in Oklahoma that has a ton of rusted out cars for sale at exorbitant prices.
These old rusty cars must have some value for someone that wants to start a project build...or at least a treasure trove of parts. YRMV

Good luck... I am amazed that these photos/story did not show up on this thread.

These pics are just a couple years old. Yard located 5 miles outside of city. Used to go their with my Dad or Uncle. They would tow out junkers , drop inside gate. It was mostly all pasture land. Remember looking up the hills at all the perfect rows of cars. Owner never sold anything old. He would part out & crush modern cars. I went to school with his son.
When family sold out . The Loaders with forks a crusher where going every day. Would get off shift in morning, change clothes and head out there with Hand Cart and tools. Quite a hike from where we had to park. Most cars so far gone , could never be salvaged or moved without breaking in half.
Meet a lot of good people there. Ya know when the Ford guys tell the Chevy guys where something is . Chevy guys help out the Mopar guys and . . .
Always a few jerks that try to screw it up for everyone.

A heavy trailer & load. Think it was a 3/4 ton pickup hauling them. Very few cars where sold whole. Condition of them was so bad, and trees in way. These two went out of state somewhere.

These cars are in a field about two miles from my house the owners said they would sell the cars I wanted the salvageable stainless trim from the Bel-Air but every time I go back they have some excuse to keep me from going into the field either it's to muddy or they don't want the cows disturbed.....[IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG]

Merc has some good pieces on it yet for sure, that would bug me if I knew where that was sitting but was unable to get it. Well worth pursuing though, and at least they're willing to sell it, just have to figure out when works for them.

  29. My step-uncle has one for sale in TN. Has 302 ford in it. It did run and drive. It's in good shape.
