I recently bought a bunch of Model A parts and this fender was part of the haul, I don't think that its Model A. Any idea what it is?
It looks different than the other '32 Sedan fenders that I've seen, especially on the inside near the tail.
Not for 32 sedan, as that would have had three holes for the rear splash shield, and wouldn't have the extra tin part near the frame on the front. Which made me think pickup, but then it would have had a a flange all the way over the tire to bolt to the side of the box. And, real Ford 32 fenders didn't have slotted holes on the top edge like that. Fostoria repros made in the 30's and 40's DID have slotted holes up there, but it would at least have the proper holes and flanges in other locations, which this fender doesn't. And rear tail looks a little too round, not flat enough for a 32 Ford. I think it's a 29ish Chevy.
32 Woody & panel truck would be my guess. When I was building my 32 panel 30 years ago, there were quite a few of these rear fenders around that were NOS.
I just found an identical pair on Ebay listed as 1933 1934 Rear Panel Fenders, are they the same from '32-'34 Here is a picture of the pair on Ebay;
Probably the only difference between the 32 and 33-34 panel fenders is the width of the front flange that mounts to the frame. Glad you could find the answer to the original question. But I bet you have a very limited market!
Mark, I will look at my panel tomorrow and measure and take pictures for you. Sent from my iPhone using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
