Norm Beecheys Jaguar beating Impala 409.

A 1961 Lark also at Bathurst.

The Lark is competing in the Armstrong 500 at Phillip Island 1961 driven by David McKay and Brian Foley. It was 1963 before the Armstrong 500 moved to Bathurst after the track surface at Phillip Island broke up. The Larks would lead for the first few laps before they ran out of brakes.

    Thanks
Seen most of the standard internet photos, keep hoping some new images from back in the day would surface, Norm had quite a career eh.
These shots show it with LHD (as imported to AUS), guessing it was an early photo.

The second car being loaded looks like the Dean Van Lines car. Might be Leroy Neumeyer talking to the two guys on the right.

The white car is the DVL dirt car which I suspect was brought along for backup for Bryan in 1956. The other is Mauri Rose's Blue Crown car from 47.

    I do quite regularly, thanks.
Still hoping some new stuff surfaces, not much for detail of the Novas' engine bay and interior shots.
