    1. Where can I find replacement rubber for front motor mount on 270 gmc?
    2. Where can I find "Avocado" green for my GMC 302 that is replacing the 270?
It came from a military truck so I thought I would paint it green to stand out a tad.

    Thanks

Steele Rubber can revulcanize them. Not cheap.

Not sure what color you are referring to...do you mean "olive drab" military green?

Not positive but the 60-61 Chevrolet V8 pickup and earlier GMC pickup with the Pontiac engine had a front mount very similar. Find a photo of one see how close it is. I took a lot of those saddle mount GMC 6's off when I was stripping 270's for there cranks.

Going with the "Alpine green" paint. Just need to locate replacement rubber mounts:)

Try Jim Carter in Mo. Haven't checked there lately, but always had great service from them.
I've painted a few with Rustoleum Forest green, darker than avocado, about the same color as '50s Olds engines. HPIM0075.JPG HPIM0080.JPG

Hey do you need the single stud style motor mount? I have one, not new but looks in ok condition. You can have it for price of shipping. Won't be able to ship immediately as I'm traveling for work though.

I need a source for the "wishbone" style front rubber parts.

I have the actual rubber lad with single stud if that's what you're talking about. I saw some if the "U" shaped metal motor mount brackets for the newer Jimmies on eBay the other day. I'll see if I can dig up a link.
