History looking for background history on chopped 51 Fleetline (MI)

First I apologize if I put this in the wrong section.
Obviously an old build in need of serious attention after years of neglect.
Story I got sounds patched together and brief.
Word is it was built in the 70's by a reputable guy named "Jones" (possibly "LeRoy Jones"?) near Flint or Detroit, Michigan.
I would love to find out more of this car! I have spent 5 years of chasing and multiple owners I finally caught it for sale and bought it.
Will be starting this project in the spring /summer. Should make a great story.

 

I saw that for sale on CL. Looks like it could be a nice project.
I don't have any info on it though.

It seems to like craigslist. I was fortunate enough to get the owner to pull the ad on a email handshake/promise I would be there with cash this morning.

Cool fleetline. I like how someone removed the door posts for a hardtop look. Stock dash? Looks like a good chop from the pics.

Nova subframe and rear end. Both need install finished.

 

Driver door has broken bottom half bolted to tracks. No quarter glass.

Bump, no new info found beyond my own discoveries.
Finding a lot of blue over spray on the car.
Trim tag says it was gray from the factory. So Original version was probably the blue.
