Coil bracket for flathead engine that remounts the coil. Bolts to the water pump so as to "clean up" the head. Also tool to remove and install Ford torque tube center bearing, oil fill tube with screw on cap and fuel filter alum fittings, upper and lower aluminum radiator hose pipes, adjustable alum. fan hub pulley.

    Thank you.
Those are some parts that I made at work, so I didn't document the process.
I have a Model A roadster project that I'm going to start in on once my current lower budget Model T project is done, that I have plans for a lot of hand made parts. So when I get going on that, I'll start a build thread and show the process in there.

  7. I'm not a machinist but I do have a imagination so all I can offer is a real low tech idea of using a piece of a JIF peanut butter jar lid for the missing high beam indicater on a 1954 Ford. HRP

    29 Model A Coupe/36 Ford dash/No Glovebox
    Fabbed from Aluminum

This item is very low in cost so why go through an extensive aluminum
exercise to make one...because it goes with the wartime aviation theme of the Hotrod
The notched section in the corner of the box is to clear the curved upper tank panel
common to 28/29 Fords...Next challenge Get it in!!!Stogy
Honestly it was a challenge and fun at the same time.

I needed a fuel fitting for my 57 and did not want to wait so I took some round aluminum and machined it.

    Update...

Procrastinator Stogy finally got the Glovebox prepped and installed into the ole Hotrod...All that remains is a latching system. 36 Fords had a spring system and that is long gone...it is available repro but I am going to add a latch of some kind...for now its just a temporary spring...

    RS_20180525_185121smlr.jpg

The literally quick n' dirty modified former tank complete with sharp edges everywhere...
note 4 mounting holes with two hidden in hinge area...

    RS_20180525_185254smlr.jpg

I pre installed the box where I wanted it and marked all the holes and opened 4 for riv nuts...and two clearanced holes for hinge area. Riv-nuts are super cool and come in many sizes...I chose 8/32UNF riv-nuts with pan head slotted screws which pass for the look...

Minus the latch (TBI) I'm pretty happy with it...I may fab a covered pad to sit and cushion the goodies
    such as...

    Latch option 1
(I have but it is sorta to modern...ish)

    Latch option 2
    (I think this looks old...er)

I will post a follow up when latch is installed...;)
