There were two types of Slaves - the external type and the internal hydraulic Throw out bearing. I'm a little confused over which one you have???? External type Throwout bearing type
you might want to dial in the bellhousing-transmission to make sure it is concentric with the crankshaft. If not within .006" of being concentric release problems may occur.
Clutch problem or engagement issue's do to cocked input shaft. Two different issue's requiring different repairs for each.
^^^^^ But this animal is different and needs to be treated differently. Even Ford say's so as near as I'm understanding.
