    You never lost to louie..
    That much we do remember....

He crashed the bike in '75 100 feet from his house in Franklin Mass on his way to high school...
Totaled it and went to 4 wheels after that.

    The rest is history.

    ...zap!

  2. Raced bikes until 84 then started a family. Had a lot of fun back then. Just went to the 50th Anniversary race this summer with my son and granddaughter. Got to see a few old friends!

Glad to see/ find out that some of us are still alive and kicking..
Lou has been driving his late dads car "Big Bad Dodge" lately..
The Krazy Hoss could be race ready in half hour but it would need tons of upgrades to pass tech nowadayzzzze..
That car has not been out of the trailer in about 12 years...

If anyone can help I am still looking for pictures from the mid-late '60's in Mass
My cousin Jack Marranzino raced a '55 chevy with 'Jumping Jack' either on the rear quarters or the Deck lid. He also used to street race on Rt495, the Lowell connector and the Boulevard in Lowell. He was from Littleton Ma. thanks in advance

Well Tom the car was on the street again for awhile..
Put the complete interior back in and took out the cage...
But just like the Hoss in the trailer ..
The street car has not moved in 10 years either.
I keep telling him to bring it to Barrett Jackson.

Now that I re-read your post the Hoss was built by myself Lou and his cousin Rockey from the ground up in 79- 80...
    Chassis car..
The other car was knocking on 10's and he didn't want to cut it up to put the proper cage in it so we built the hoss...
    69' Boss 302 body..
Glass nose and decklid...steel everything else..

    Thanks Tom!

I will be putting up more as I get the time..
I never thought way back then that these pics would be of such historical value.

But as we all look back at those times..
    They were way cool.

Last year I went to the Strokers cookout at Jimmy Mahans place. We had a great day there.
Jimmy was a character for sure!! After filling my belly with some great food (and a couple beers in honor of Jim) I went into his HUGE shop. These were above his toolbox. I miss that guy.
We had alot of fun when he was with the Camsnappers.

I don’t have any pics but my Dad does. He raced his 1969 Judge in 69 and 70. We all were employees there and my Dad was the NHRA Division 1 Tech Director from 1978-1982. I stopped working there in 83. I gave you your time slips back then.

My uncle has a '69 Z/28 that was an eight time class winner at NED back in the 1970's and still has the decals in the back window. He bought it off a used car lot around 1980. The previous owner literally drove it to the car lot with no plates, insurance, or mufflers. Had an overcammed 327 that would not idle below 2000 rpm. It was blue with one white stripe on the hood and two on the trunk, would like to see a picture of of it at the drags if anyone comes across one.

Cool history. Didn't they have a embroidered patch something like "100 mph club"? I seem to recall a coworker with a '68 or '69 Z28 who got the patch.
