I've got a 30 sedan on a 32 frame with a 32 shell and need to know, if the length is correct, will a 32 hood hood fit the radius of the 30 cowell? Thanks guys.
The radius is the easy part to fix (bend it over your knee). It's the width, length, height and bead shape that are the hard parts to match up.
i have a `30 coupe on `32 frame with `32 grille shell and no way would a stock `32 hood fit.....too short
This Rootlieb document help me out a lot. It has all the measurements of each type of hood and radiator shell. It also has some good information on how to measure your hood. I recommend it. http://nebula.wsimg.com/479cc9a492d...4493EDB42A0ECA4EC&disposition=0&alloworigin=1 Sent from my iPhone using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
I don't recall what Laidout53's hood started from, & I hope it's ok I reposted from his build thread, I think he did a tech or another thread on how he stretched & modified it.
It's two 30/1 hoods to get the extra length, not a 32 hood. Great car and work, but not the answer to the op's question.
