EELCO Rules!!!! Roundup GOODIES

Got home last night and as promised there were my new Nailhead EELCO finned valve covers. Very nice poilish job just gotta do alittle trimming where the breathers go and I will be sporting them at the Roundup.

Thanks Marty at Northwest Speed for living up to your word. I have ordered 4 different times from him and have never had a problem. Heres the pics

 

He's still a thief, just because he hasn't done it to you doesn't make up for the fact that he's ripped others off and lied to even more...

Thats probably the same set of valve covers he promised to twelve other guys....

Dirty31, By the way, why would a new set of valve covers that you pay good money for have to be trimmed?
So now it's not only delivery problems, but there's quality issues also?

Thats my fault, I was trying to put old breathers in them. Rusty bought some new chrome ones and they fit perfict.

 

I quess since I did not have to pay for them makes it feel even better then. Either way, Thanks Marty for the goodies. Keep it up

I know this has been an issue, and every time it pops up zman kicks in, I have never had a problem, others obviously have. Zman has a cross to bear. but until I have been burnt, I will deal with Marty. I have been warned by you lot, but I like what he has to offer. SO I go forward knowing the 'risks' if you like.

zman, try not to bag him, I know you have had or others have had bad dealings. point them to posts here about the issue and let them make up their own mind. Otherwise it makes you look bad. Nothing against you personally, but show people the way and let them learn the leason.

 

Talking with Marty he said there was a copywrite lawsuit between the two so every post you can go back and he slams him. I did not want this to be a bad thing to post. He has always done good for me so it need to be said. Zman problems have nothing to do with the Products or qaulity Northwest Speed is offering. I got my stuff and love it. He did a excellent job, Told me when I would get it and I got it, Gave me a tracking number and I had no problems. I will continue to buy from him. You know here on the hAmb it is never a praise when somoene does good it is always a bash. Everyone of the suppliers gets bashed, I am talking about Northwest Speed, Moon, and Vintage Speed. Everyone get bashed and it is bullshit. They have the stuff we need amd are trying there best. It aint like there is millions of this stuff just laying around. We are a small part of this hot rodding community so all this odd ball stuff we like on our cars is not something you can just go get anywhere. We need these poeple and believe it or not they know it. The hemi , nailhead, stromberg, flathead, tri-power over the last few years has just soared and these suppliers are just overwhelmed.

I will quite venting for now. You just got to slow down and look at the whole picture. It makes sense to me and I really dont care if it makes sense to anyone else but i wish it would.

okay, NOW i get it. because we're a small niche market, we should put up with suppliers that feel it's okay to screw only half of their customers. makes perfect sense! oh, and three companies are "everybody", got it. i'm sure all the people that have warned others just have a vendetta against marty for some other reason than the thousands they got screwed out of. or maybe they're making it all up, yeah that's it, it's a conspiracy to run him out of business because we secretly DON'T want new nailhead parts.

I’ve dealt with Marty and he sucks, he ended up pushing me off until he finally sold the Hurst tire business, luckily Cody took care of me, even though he had no reason too.

NW Speed had the opportunity to prove themselves on some big profile cars for Autorama. One guy got his parts a day after the Autorama started, one of the guys is still trying to get his tri-power to work, and the other had to completely rebuild the carbs before even attempting to get his car running.

All three of these guys gave him the benefit of the doubt after all the crap they had been hearing and in each case he failed miserably. I understand he is trying to make it right, but that’s not the point. When your businesses name is in the shitter and you get given the perfect opportunity to shine and you still can’t provide service, then what the fuck does that say about them?

 

Marty has lied to me, has ripped off my friends, has threatened lawsuits against another friend. The copyright thing he is trying to pass is really his claim that he has a patent on intake risers. I searched http://www.uspto.gov/ for the supposed patent. There is none issued or applied for, he gave me a number that was supposedly his patent number, it wasn't even in the right format. He screwed JimA as well. He has fucked over many that PM'd me each time this has come up. He's a thief.... refer to any of the previous thread...

Tell ya what...Marty is pretty shading in ALL of life...he was at a car show a few years back here in Seattle and got pissed that his burn out wasn't the best so he went at it again ...this time he lost control and barely missed 4 people and 3 cars,,,,then he has the BALLS to tell the cops when they got there who did it....oh in cased you guessed wrong...he told them some other folks from a Local Car Club(to go unnamed here)where the perpetrators....I will never trust him...

As for business dealings....I asked him about some Hurst Cheater Slicks...he told me they didn't have my size in stock, that I should give hime the $$$$ and he would ship them off just as soon as they had them done....turns out he had already sold the tire business to Cody and the tires were not even a size/model he had molds for..lucky I didn't give him the $$$

 

Cool! I am sorry others have been screwed and I am sorry for the ones that are going to get screwed but it does not take away the fact that I got my stuff on time as stated and he never lied about any of the transactions amd that it was a quality product. It sucks others have been screwed. If he screws so many why does his ebay account has all positives and he is selling alot of stuff on there.
