image.jpeg image.jpg image.jpeg Well here are a few up to date pics......not sure if this is how Nascar guys set up their cars but seems to work for our set-up.......we are waiting on the motor to arrive that will let us mount the engine and tranny. Also we can see what we will need for a drive shaft

Absolutely loving this build; I recall seeing this car run many times at Shangri-La with both Bentley and Don Diffendorf (correct spelling) driving. Amazed that it has survived - as you can surely attest, it was supposedly a very light car originally! Cannot wait to see it finished!

Hi Mike - I may be wrong, but from looking at the cage this may be the Graves built car that Bentley drove in the early 1980s. If you do Facebook, you may want to share these pics on the "Supermodifieds" group; the folks there should be able to verify the car's origins and a lot of other info. If this is indeed that car, it will make the day of a lot of people who have been wondering where the Graves 38/77 went!

Fred Graves said it appears to be his old car. :)

Interesting front suspension - the bolts almost make it look like a Flemke front end turned 90 degrees.

You may want to check on the RaceNY message board, someone there may have worked on the car or know someone who did. Good luck!

I missed a step in the photo sequence. How did you get from early Ford to wide five spindle?

Well a big setback happened last nite. We knew we were taking a risk on the motor and it bit us.......sounds and looks like it has some cam or valve headaches."........we will do some testing and go from there . very disappointed !
