Finally getting to build my dream hot rod. I have all the parts here (theoretically) to build my 33 Plymouth. I have a 392 hemi, a ford 9", a complete front end kit (which I know wont be real popular on this board) a built 700r4, some chrome reverse rims and two bodies and two sets of fenders. The frame has been completely stripped now and is at my chassis guy to have the suspension welded up. The hemi is at the machine shop getting cleaned up and ready for new guts, roller cam and dual quads. Hopefully getting to mock up in early February to get the motor mounts and trans right. This has been sitting for a couple years while I saved up the cash to do a lot of this. I will keep you all posted as we go along. I will post photos if I ever figure out how.
cool thread, will be watching. Im working on a PC sedan. Do you have the centered dash or the dash with the glove box? looks like you have a MII kit waiting in the wings there.
Let's see. Arlington, WA. Center dash ( i have a really nice stock one), with glove box. And yeah, a mustang II kit. A concession to the wife wants to drive it too. I am hoping to build a really cool ratrod out of the leftover parts. I have a slant six for that one.
'33 with center dash only is PC, Dash and oval glovebox on the right is PD. Someone can correct me, but I have never seen a PC with a glovebox door.

You could perhaps cut the four door into a truck cab, and build a cool Hamb friendly truck. I'd vote for a 60s show car look, lots of flake, custom paint...... Sorry, your car, built it how you like, just don't tell us if it becomes one of them cars we don't discuss here. I'm liking the plan for the 33. Hemis always get my interest up.
yeah, found that in a junk pile, thought it was cool, so I rescued it. I have no idea how it ended up in Western WA. It's actually a mudflap.
My 2 cents, You can build a low buck and cool jalopy, without it being a rr. I think most everyone here can do it. Just don't use late model parts, or tacky stuff, like toilet seats etc. Just keep it cool, safe and traditional. Also it will be worth a lot more in the end. The rr thing is a waste of good time and money. {JUST My opinion}. And even if you do it right. Some may call it a rr. But you will know its not. I love your original build with the Tudor sedan. Thanks, that is a beautiful Dodge. Right now I am good for parts, but I will definitely keep you in mind. There is always the stuff you didnt think about when you are doing the initial parts collecting.
I have been looking for door hinge pins, and finally found them for $11.00 each, plus about $25.00 for shipping (which I thought was crazy). So, I kept on looking, and found them for a 33 Plymouth pickup, for $3.00 each and thought I would take a chance. They are about 3/4 inch too long, but hey, I can do a lot of grinding for 8 bucks a piece. There are six of them.
neonhorse... Very cool ! This will be a great HR when you finish it. Your ideas are spot-on, and these years of the MoPars' are frequently overlooked. So, I applaud you, AND the other Hambers that Post here, for making some very neat rods out of bodies/cars that others would either scrap, part-out, or, crush. Jonnie www.legends.thewwbc.net
Got the rear suspension completed, now doing some mocking up to see where the front crossmember needs to go.
Nice work on the rear suspension this project is looking good I have been fighting with wheel studs on my 37 Plymouth build always something! Hobo Jim
