I believe this 1955 Chevy was owned by George Lynch out of the Philadelphia Pa. area. The car was powered by a Hillborn (I believe) Injection small block Chevy. We all raced in the Delaware Valley United Drag Racers Association (UDRA) Pro Gasser group. It included Gassers and Modified Production cars that raced up and down the East Coast as a paid in show. It was a great time to be active in Drag Racing! The UDRA decal is displayed in the rear quarter window.

I crewed on this AA/Gas Anglia in the mid-60's.
Ran out of Harrell Performance Center K.C., Mo.
Added some weight and set the AHRA BB/A record.

RE: Saxxon's post #91. Needed to see the Nunez & Dillon coupe in happier times. The pickup, may be the follow up to the coupe? It is by far my favorite gasser truck. Merry Christmas to me! Don Montgomery's Supercharged Gas Coupes book arrived in the mail today. Thanks Mrs. 99. Kudos Mr. Rockerhead.

Yes it looks like Numedia. Beautiful location but a real tough climb up the mountains towing a race car and trailer and hard on brakes going down lol!

Does anyone have a picture of the politically incorrect signage on the trunk lid of the Coonrod & Harry 33 Willy A/GS coupe?

OK... How about some quick time lapse photography on Christmas. This is the same car over the years specified by Gary Reynolds (the OP). Basically, it is an 80 year old car that has had a very rough life, been rescued several times, and refuses to give up!! Enjoy...

1962- The car was purchased in Southern Maryland for $25.

THE CAR WAS SOLD IN 1967.

Fast forward 30+ years......it still lives!

The car was purchased by the Timoszyk family in Michigan. They are the ones who saved it from where it was headed. There had been 6 or 7 owners since 1967 and much neglect. After several years of negotiations, and forming a great friendship with the family, I was able to buy it back in 2000.

After a 16 month restoration, Here it is today:

I have to admit I have never seen this version of a SWC car...In upper left corner of pic is a [looks like] mid 60's or later chevy....

  19. The much feared Black car was built in 64. It was much much lighter. 2016-04-29_05-16-45.jpg swc5.jpg SWC 1965.jpg

Flamed48...I believe that is the last version of the Swindler "A" in 1966, with the gold stripe down the left side
. It is the seriously trimmed one now owned by Doug Cook's son Mike.

  21. I heard that Mike was offered a million dollars for the car and turned it down. Can not say I blame him.

    Local history for me.
The Dennis Neelin and Ken Murray 40 Willys. Started with Lincoln power - changed to a sbc then sold where it became the blown Hemi power Pink Elephant (no pic...sorry). It has come full circle by being restored to it's original Lincoln version.
