  1. One damned cool tool box. I know nothing about the owner or anything but it got me thinking about odd ball tool boxes. Who's got something off the wall. 15621767_180405889094543_7370881846079859208_n.jpg

I saw that a couple days ago and thought someone crazy has a lot of time on their hands. Badass for sure.

That would adapt itself nicely to a '46/'48 ford grill as well.;)

Hmmm . . . I've been working on a similar project, but mine's just a silly wall decoration. Now you've got me thinking about making it useful for something. Hmmm . . . I have four headlights and a grill. Maybe I can make the grill hinge forward to become a shelf, and store whiskey glasses in the space behind. The headlights on one side could become long narrow drawers and hold a bottle of whiskey each, and the headlights on the other side could disguise an icemaker? That would be a welcome addition to my shop!

The "cool factor" of that ingenious chevy truck tool box is priceless.
Just the ticket for a Stove Bolt nut.

    Pete, you too George.
I'm always saying things like that when I see some totally lame project that someone has "wasted" a bunch of time on. Then I think about how much "quality time" I spend on the HAMB and the three dead horses in my shop.
Who remembers the guy that had a water bed mounted on a truck bed in his bedroom:confused:
On a "technical" level that toolbox sure has the mirror muff beat.

Actually DDDenny, I was more referring to the potential " benefits" of cowboy teds idea of having a well stocked whisky bar in the shop. You ever notice how Foster Brooks didn't appear onstage with power tools? There's a reason for that!:p

  14. Well, thats really cool. But not for a shop where people actually use the tools and get dirty.

Cripes, now I'm gonna be on youtube all afternoon looking at Foster Brooks videos.
My high school buddy and I used to watch Foster Brooks on the Tonight Show.
We'd laugh until we couldn't catch our breath.

I have a small set of carry-along tools in a Blackhawk "Torpedo"...mine is MUCH shabbier than the stolen pictures below. If I ever find the time and ambition, I'll tape it down the centerline and paint one side OD with yellow WWII stenciling and the other side candy apple red with pinstripes. Right now, that job is penciled in 2 1/2 lifetimes down the road...

I did the same, right after I posted that I watched his "Brain Surgeon" sketch with Dean Martin. Man, that guy was HILARIOUS!

Beautiful. Can't see much room to use tools on each grille bar shelf.
Man, in the late 80's it cost me 50.00 to chrome each grille bar.
    Can't imagine today's cost.

I think it's cool looking no doubt....but I wonder if the wheels/tires move (a car guy asks these questions:p)....maybe the horn ''toots'' and the lights flicker....I'd be hard pressed to actually use a toolbox like that, because it looks so much nicer than my cars!!! I can just imagine constant 'body work' after I've used it a few times with the tools goin' in and out.....sure is a "pretty" thing though!!!

Yea, IF I had a "man cave" it would come in handy there to hold a few tools like a crescent wrench, a couple of screwdrivers, etc. You never know when the tap handle on your keg might need tightening or the plug on one of your neon signs needs replacing.

From another site...."4300 sq. inches of lined drawer space, remote control hood release, Bluetooth sound bar, working headlights, USB port, cup holders and wheels turn. $8500 on up"

Cool, but jeez, you could build a real truck for that.

You mean to tell me it's manufactured? Damn! I was hoping it was the creation of a talented gear head. I still like it but that takes some of the air out of it.
