  1. Looking forward to seeing it in person. It's come a long way.

Trying to make one side of the car done and ready for bodywork then I'll focus on the other. Helps me stay focused. Redid rear door gap, pulled a ton of crown out of the quarter panel with the shrinking disc to help the flow between the door and quarter, reworked the lower body line on the quarter, removed the drip rail and made a new piece for above the door and into the roof. I formed it in a brake before and it was flat naturally... the door actually has a #7 sweep across the top edge of the door and a #5 sweep from the side. The new piece matches that.

Not sure what you mean by that question.. The new piece over the door took about 4 hours from start to "finish". I put that in quotes because nothing is perfect and this will need minor filler.

  12. The time quotes are very helpful.

I was just referring to the seemingly never ending process I'm walking thru myself.
And then there is the parts where tearing out previously done tasks to make them better ughhh! It's like going in circles, but the next circle is a little rounder, a little bit better circle. :D

I agree but it's time to call it good enough and finish this one. I've done about 4 circles with this car. Haha

Cleaned up the drivers side and passenger side door gap filler tonight.

So I have issues. But, the last 3" of the quarter needed a patch for door gap and it had some other issues. I was gonna do just that much but I wouldn't have access to stretch thecweld back out. So move the patch back it is...

Both sides are adjusted. Now a million little things then filler.

Making the windshield fit the posts is next. Then new decklid, new floors, etc

Wow that tunnel is a work of art. It will be a shame to cover it up. And I normally do not like "bare" interiors LOL.

You can suggest but in the end it isn't my car or my decision. I would have made the whole roof lower when I made it instead of a traditional chop job

Lady friend helped me do the beads on the new floor. Pre stretched the right side after learning on the left. The difference was amazing. Good lesson for me in the future.

Dash needed some fixin. Somebody had an interesting method of shaving holes. I could have lived with it but the bottom was roached.

Decided to incorporate the steering column notch at the same time. Machined a gauge pod thing as well.

  30. Amazed !!

Now I gotta ask, why bother with a 4' weld when you obviously could have just made the top section?
