My old '56...I kind of wish I had it back, although, I'd love to have a clean '59 chevy wagon in my garage too...maybe someday.

I think this is the most beautiful 57 Nomad I've ever seen. I see so many red ones.

SmokingBill, I think you need a spotlight to fill that empty space in your wife's nice 61. I've got one if you decide.

I took the photo below at the 2007 Hunnert Car Pile Up and I'm still digging this '59.

Great that its still 3 speed with o/d. So many cant manage gear shift now. Must get good gas mileage on the highway.

I remember that 63 wagon from Goodguys in Indy years ago. Any idea who he is or if he's on here?

Not sure what's nicer in that post. The cars, or a spouse who's as in love with driving a 7 passenger car with manual transmission as she seems to be. :) Much respect, lucky man.

How about lo-profile longroof? Ballsy move and quality job with the final result. Love it.

  19. '36 Pontiac I built for my son. Was supposed to be father/son project but he never got the gearhead gene. He drove it a few months then sold it for a down payment on his first home. Good investment from that standpoint.

  20. I have a vehicle with a "long roof".

This is what it looked like when I got it. Looks can fool ya, though. It's a complete do-over that was worked on by a blind man wearing boxing gloves. It's a long story but....... I'm "saving" it.

Casual bump here. Recently rebuilt the 292 in mine. The day before I was going to take the y block out out I found out my wife was pregnant..! And date I say the baby is due tomorrow, so will be any day now. So, I thought I better hurry up and get it done. Has been going for a couple of months now and it's friggin awesome. So much smoother and less smokey now.

Amazing how these wagons just keep getting better and better looking as time goes by. Sure do wish I didn't sell my 62 Impala wagon.
