80's Buick sedan turned 180* for my '30 coupe ( must be pretty close?)
Full size 80's Dodge van roof, turned 180* on my Tudor ( ribbed for pleasure)
Station wagons are good donors too. Lotta metal.

She's looking good! It's going to take some doing but man is it going to have some nice lines.

I love guys that get these cars and save them. Many of the "pro" builders like the late boyd Coddington would never have the courage ability or passion to tackle somthing like this.

Blanchard's auto salvage in Hollis, NH (near Amherst ) and Ayottes junkyard in Oxford, Me. Ayottes has over 60 acres of old cars, long ride but you will find a roof skin at one of these hidden jems

Pete, looking great! We used a Maverick roof skin on my buddy's 29 A coupe. It fit extremely well and rolled down nicely toward back window.

Volvo wagon roof skin, I'll know better if it's a good fit once I start trimming and fitting it.

I think I might hang the doors and get them lined up before I welded that skin in. Might give you a little more latitude.

Doors are hung and aligned. I've had them on and off a bunch of times.

  20. Looks really good Pete. How does the coupe feel about the imported roof ?

    Thanks dude.

It's been going a little slow but hopefully I'll speed it up. After the body is together it'll go to the blasters for a dirt bath.

Just a thought, will the top wood kit go in before you attach the metal top insert? Bob

You are doing well with this ... I find when I put an artificial deadline on my work I have to redo and in reality lose time. I forget this is not a race. I like everything you have done so far. I like the roof panel, I have one from a 78 Malibu sedan that looks like it has the curvature required.
