Looks like Terwilliger Plaza, it's a 62 and over facility. Had to make a few trips there to retrieve cars that little old ladies managed to drive by feel with back in my auto body estimating days. Kept a stack of business cards at the front desk...

  5. OK, yeah, I remember that place, it just doesn't look right.
It's been 30 years since I've lived there. When I go back family doesn't believe I don't remember all the street names and how to get from A to B! I GENERALLY remember, but often draw a blank, like the photo! Thanks!

I'm confused about post 119839, with the NASCAR Tucker. The first (small) picture is not the same car as the larger picture. The larger photo is of a TWO door car! Did they even make a 2 door?

Why is the Tucker a 4 door in the top picture, and a 2 door in the picture below it? I never have known of a 2 door Tucker. Interesting.

No two doors were made; photo is obviously photoshopped.

  16. Hey Gary, thanks for all the great pics lately. My Uncle Paul owed and operated Paul's Union 76 station on the east side of Portland from shortly after he returned from WWII in Europe until he retired in the 90's. I remember he was always fixing something for somebody.

Bardahl Ferrari In 1955 the Italian associate of Bardahl bought this Kurtis 500D, less engine, and shipped it to Italy for Ferrari to fit one of their 4.4 litre, 6 cylinder motors. Ferrari gave up and the Maserati brothers finished the project

Years ago I was driving my 70 GMC pickup on a snowy day near Toronto when I broke a hanger bearing. I managed to limp into a nearby garage, miles from home. I had a new hanger bearing under the seat (it had happened before) and some tools, but very little money. The garage let me use their lift and fix it myself. I offered them what little money I had, but they refused it, shook my hand, and sent me on my way. I will never forget it.
