Good news is, Pontiac powered. Original 347 tripower car. Bad news is, not that fast, YET. Plans call for a nastier Pontiac motor in the near future. Thanks for the kind words, I really apprecite it.

My Grandfather bought the twin to this in 1956 off the showroom floor.
I would LOVE to have one just like it!

  8. Always admired 55 Desoto hardtops in a red and white.
57 Chevys in light purple (orchid or dusk rose? ) and white.
My all time favorite, any 55 Chevy model in the salmon and charcoal 2 tone.
    It kills me.

I think this is super-sweet!!....1956 Mercury Montclair....that color scheme is fantastic!...really sets off the design, and fits that front end like a visual piece of beauty:D b2d10919d74b23d5eba06ee3b0151d38.jpg

Surprised no one has put this up, lemon and lime. Good looking colors on a good looking car. The man I bought my 55' stude from had a lemon and lime 55' speedster with the yellow leather interior. My future wife and I were in Fredericksburg, Tx. almost 20 yrs. ago and he went through an intersection in front of us in it, she flipped out wanting to know what it was. We followed him to his house and introduced ourselves, before the day was done I had bought my 55 champion 2 dr. sedan from him. There was no getting him to part with the speedster. 1955_Studebaker_President_Speedster_For_Sale_Rear_resize.jpg

I don't mind the colour combo on a tri-five, but like all PNW boys, I'll never forget that canned salmon...:confused:To this day, the only way I will eat salmon is smoked, just the thought of that home-canned salmon is enough to trip my gag reflex!

  15. The mid-50s combination of salmon/coral/pink and charcoal/grey/black has always been my favorite, whether it is the Chevy at the beginning of this thread, or 56-57 Fords or Dodges. Just the perfect two-tone combo.

That purple and white! Imagine it on a '56 starliner. Or even my '62 there.
Hey now, you said favorite factory color. Nobody said what year... :p

I'm personally partial to blue-ish color hues on cars----------but this GMC pickup has a real nice presence to it with it's color combination with the cream roof....I would be inclined to inspect this with a genuine interest.:) 8b7f7572ac5b5a862cd6af4a8d463452.jpg

One of my favorite 2 tone was 78 corvette pace car. I wont post the pic out of respect for the site but you all know what I'm talking about. Black and silver, red pin stripe to separate them. "that there's a thing of beauty Clark".
