This may be the two-tone color....mentioned as ''Heather'' in the 56' brochure....which is actually shade of Lavender for 56' Starfire....very subtle combo....I like it! 10EPA101311936AA.jpg

I like the blue and white like 56Don said on mid-fifties Fords, red and white on '56 Chevys, and the bronze and cream on '57 Chevys.

Can't find a picture but will never forget a Woodsmoke Grey over Gunmetal Grey 57 Ford Fairlane out of Spokane I saw in an American Rodder magazine years ago.

  9. I'm partial to the green & white, but after seeing the photo's I gotta admit I could be persuaded to go with a couple of different combinations in the future. HRP

56 chevy Gypsy Red and Shoreline Beige. And Ron's Nomad. 56 Chevy Bel Airs are the best two toned cars period, imo.

Not a huge two-tone fan, but I LOVE the wide aluminum side trim on '62 Olds Starfires. They seem to reduce the bulk and boxiness of the profile, and seem to go well with any paint color.

  22. '55 and '56 Ford bumblebee. I like the '55 better, different shade of yellow than '56, and I like the '55 grille and trim better than '56. \'55 bumblebee.jpg \'56 bumblebee.jpg

sony #1 205.jpg I I. Fits the Hamb time line so I feel I'm OK. Eventho we've owned this 1939 Indian since 1943 the original color is unknown since my father passed away in 1963 and I never asked him. The 2 colors were available in 1939 from Dupont who owned the Indian Motocycle Co. then. This was the first year silver and metallics were offered.

The colors on my Packard are nothing too special but the two tone trim scheme they figured out is pretty wild. I'm also a big fan of the 55-56 Ford Fairlane 2 tone trim (several good examples already shown) and '52 Buick (my dad's old Roadmaster pictured below, now in Sweden I think)

Black and white, red and white, blue and white, yellow and white, red and the creamy off white beige color. Like most of the two tones, but the primary color has to be bright, like bright red, blue, etc. Never did care for the pastel colors some cars wore.

Todd553, that '57 Pontiac is an understated beauty. I love the stance, the wheel and tire combo - everything. Nice job. Now tell me it's still Pontiac powered and runs 11s or low 12s and my vision is complete.
I've seen that 3 tone Chrysler before, that's an awesome color scheme, and with WW and wire wheels - add that one to my bucket list.

I remember when I went with Dad to the Ford garage to bring home a new 63 F-100 custom cab in baby blue and creamy Wimbledon white deluxe tutone, with clearance lights on the roof. His first truck with a radio and custom cab, chrome bumpers. Your sedan is a beauty !
