  2. Looking great! and I like Andy's frame table as it looks to be able to roll over on it's sides and that would be nice when doing boxing plates. Guess I will have to talk to him about this.

Some more progress pics. Ready to put the x member in. Using one out of a 40 Ford. This will be slid forward and positioned in place to mount the 39 Trans.

Got this beautiful underdash switch panel from crafty b. He makes them with a contour for the 32 dash. Incredible craftsmanship

Also hit a swap meet early this morning and found this cool Halibrand steering setup. I was going to use an F-1 box on this project but I think I'm now going to go cowl steering and use this. I've never seen one of these before does anyone know anything about it? 1480194613190.jpg 1480194624010.jpg 1480194632369.jpg

Andy, who is helping me out with the chassis , came up with the slick idea of pie cutting the firewall on the sides along the bottom as well as the front of the feet. The firewall was then pulled back making room for the motor and keeping the trimming at the bottom at a minimum...with a stock looking top. It worked out great

Frame flipped over and front wishbone mounts welded in. We took advantage of the X member leg and positioned these a bit inward to allow for more tire clearance.

I am trying to decide on what style of louver to go with on my new project. I have two that I do. Top two pics are my hand cut and hammered ones. Those are more of a clam shell old style. Two pics on bottom are the ones my hydraulic press punches. These have a rounded edge too but a longer top. Hummmm going to do my deck lid, roof inset, and an aluminum hood that I'm going to make.

Both louver styles look great especially the traditional clam-she'll ones but "hand cut and hammered" in volume would have me looking at the press style.
