Hot Rods Alright old timers, can you identify this?

    Looks like a puller of some kind, otherwise no idea.

    The link between the clamps seems a bit short to permit turning without the bumpers clashing. Perhaps a driver was needed in the vehicle being towed as the single link would not seem to provide lateral control.

    These are not criticisms, just observations. It's a cool piece from another era. Thanks for posting.

  14. When I bought my '55 Handyman back in the '60s, it had one of these on the front bumper. Kind of wish that I had kept it!
