  1. I did multiple times within the thread. Its become a guessing game to see who can figure out what they are. its a tongue and check thing.

It must just be me, but I don't understand the attraction to or should I say why guys are liking something like exposed brakes etc.

  4. Your disk brakes are exposed?

  5. Are those stock 32? or 1 1/2 ton truck<

  7. The bottom one and the one upside down are wide 5's, so not 32 at all. 36-39. Though I would suggest they are early, 36 or so, as 32-34 had cutouts like these ones. Later wide 5s were a solid drum with no cutouts.

    I don't have disc brakes.
And I believe we are looking at and talking about exposed drum brakes.

These are stock Ford parts intended to keep your brakes cool. "Rocky Mountain Brake Drums" Started in the Model T era, used in Model As and up through 1936. What's so crazy about using old Ford parts on a Ford hotrod?

Race cars in the past have also run skeleton brake backing plate set ups to keep the brakes cool. More motivation/inspiration of using exposed brakes.

Kinmont brakes used air scoops to keep the brakes cool.
