I knew I had seen that 3W somewhere before. Just had to dig through a whole bunch of old magazines.
I am surprized Tony didn't remember it. I am sure he would know where it is now?

  5. The 3 window in that last one looks very similar to the one out of the movie "deuce coupe" very tough looking.

I am not sure I know that movie FB. I really did a number on the image of that 3W I found on the internet.
Seems I keep finding old magazines lately that have channeled coupes on the covers.
I know Big Daddy Chopit, will like this cover.
    Thanks for the bump JJ.

  7. It's just your standard hotrod 'b' movie. Not the most imaginative plot and terrible acting but some cool cars.

  8. Hey Whodaky, was that pic of Al's champ car at Bendigo when your coupe was
having the fenders removed on the infield? We will never forget the day we were picked up and invited to spend some time with Al hey.

Thanks FB. No different 3W. No I haven't seen that movie.
Hey Gary, yes that was the day.
Yes it was a very memorable time spent at Alan's. I have really enjoyed all the times I have visited with him. He is a fantastic guy. I haven't seen him in a long time. But then again I never go anywhere, where our pathes will cross.

Tony's got to know something about that 3W.
I go digging and find it on another cover. Pictured out the front of a front-end shop in Warrnambool.

Geoff that three window has got me beat as I can't remember were I saw it , I'll keep trying till I get it . Love the new covers you just posted ,great work as always master designer , love that channelled coupe on last cover makes a great driveway shot . And I still like the Napa coupe with full caps not chrome wheels and can't wait to see it on the road one day soon .

I spotted this one earlier on Facebook and thought it could use some whodaky magic. Needs a little off the top in my opinion.

I've always loved that car but felt it needed chopped. Now I'm positive. Nice work!

Your right there Gary. Actually all 3 of the 5Ws look good on that cover.
I am even starting to like the funkiness of the bumpers and cowl lights on the shiny coupe.
I thought Tony may have chimed in on those last 2 covers. Although I think he and Rita were going to Melbourne yesterday to see the specialist. Not because Tony is special, or anything like that. Just for his messed up leg!!!!.

This over is very self indulgent and I make no apologies for it. There are advantages in being the editor and chief of ' The Magazine Of the Mind Publishing Company'.
Seriously, I was doing the image of the 3W in front of the' Honest Charley' store and when I went to locate it on a cover I had some space to fill. That's my story and I am sticking to it.

  25. That one really shows how your two coupes have evolved over the years, very cool.

Charlie and I are heading out to the Guzzlers cc prison break hotrod show in an hour or so and then maybe to the speedway tonight if the rain holds off. I'll try and snap some pics for you.

Thanks for the images FB and Charlie.
I was looking for stuff this morning and found the image used on this next cover on Pinterest. I think Peter Vincent may have taken this shot way back.
I love the shot and really like the colors on the Australia Hot Rodding Review banner. I thought the 2 would combine well together and I think they did. I was going to put some sought of caption across the top above the banner, but the more I looked at the cover here on my monitor; the more I thought it didn't need anythng.
