Technical changing to p/s f-100

I would like to change over to power steering on my 57 f-100. I have read about the toyota box on these trucks, my concern is can I still use my three speed column shift. Can anyone shed some lite on this? Thanks in advance.

 

yes, there is a connection joint that can below shifting mechanism..( if yer handy )

 

do you know for sure i can still use my three on the tree with this swap?

mine is automatic...

 

i did it on a 56 and kept the 3 on the tree. it was 15 years ago[?] and i can't remember how i did it. i think i shortened the shift rod up so it was closer to the firewall.
