We've all seen the dizzy tach drive Stewart Warner made but who has pictures (or is using one) of the generator tach drive they sold? I've seen ads for them and some old pics where they used but have never seen one in detail.

I haven't seen a SW one, have seen AC and Autolite. I have an Autolite drive that fits my Desoto PS generator, but its up at the other place. I think it was originally intended for a tractor application.

I think this is one but I'm not 100%. I know they had a kit for it in 1949 but I never seen what it actually looked like.

Although I have never seen one run off the front of the generator, that isn't what I'm looking for. The car I'm restoring had one that was run off of the back of the generator and was from Stewart Warner....according to the paperwork.
I've considered the tractor and corvette setups but I want to go all original and correct with this one.
Even if it's some confirmed pictures of one I'm willing to cast and machine my own if need be, just as long as it is accurate.

Looling for input, diagrams, parts etc so I can put this thing on my 48 sedan.

Can any body date this thing from the design of the tacho face,i.e 40s,50s or 60,s.? I know gauges are pretty easily identified.....
