I posted about this car a few weeks ago. It sold at an auction yesterday. Turns out this car was supposed to be built by the guy who built one of the Oscar Meyer wiener mobiles. They said they had some pics and documents for that claim. I did get to see a couple pics of it from when it was used as a show car. The owner bought it in 1967 and still had a copy of the 67 title. It is a 41 Chevy to start with. Guesses as to what the back end were that it was a MG or Jag? It still had a straight 6, unknown trans, 2 seater. Very cool. Sectioned shortened and chopped Id say, Wow, a lot of work in that! Really looks quite good too. More pics anyone?
Should have some more pics coming, they are in my friends phone and having trouble sending them to me.
yep you must of miss understood when you thought I bought it for someone else I bought the caddy intake for a friend
Chances are it's all butt welded, file finished with lead and NO bondo. Customisers did similar down here years ago with early Holdens. True craftsmen in their own right.
First look it was ugly but the more you look at the details it starts to grow on you. Seriuos skills to get the cowl/hood area to flow.
just went to get the car running found out there is a crack in the block which is sad because the 216 has jahns 8.25 to 1 pistons an isky 3/4 race cam and some other stuff still gonna hang onto it tho and put in a 235
Sorry to hear that. I don't think the previous owner had been keeping up with his cars for quite a few years. Are you going to the auction with the 39 Ford?
You would never guess it began life as a 41 Chevy. That's cool. Sent from my iPhone using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
Those 216 goodies are pretty rare! I hope you put up some pics, along with some build pics of the car. I like it!
