Been getting a little done. Engine and trans in, brakes plumbed, headers made, fuel cell made and plumbed, steering made and installed.
Kind of a hijack here but while at a swapmeet in Monroe Mich a couple weeks ago, there was an elderly gentleman walking around with a sign around his neck advertising a 34 3W barn find nostalgic drag car. Early Olds powered. He was from Indiana and he gave me his ph # if anyone is interested - $29K. As a side note, he mentioned I was the only one that even asked him about this car. As an owner of a 34 5W, I've had owners of such cars ask me at car shows, 'Do you notice that the young guys don't even look at these cars?' Makes me wonder about the future popularity of the early rods.
For a "Restoration" shop, you guys build one helluva nice drag race hot rod!! Very nice, can't wait to see it in full colors.
The restoration part of my buisness came over 30 yrs ago when we did a lot of restoring. We do most everything now including a full service speed shop.
Damn... quite the car you are building! I must admit, I expected to see a fiberglass-bodied car before opening this thread.
It lives. We fired it up last Thursday. Took it for it's first test drive Friday and Saturday and now we are working on getting the glass, hood and little things buttoned up.
