I'd have to sand it down to find the gold lacquer paint to make sure but I think the left front fender is the only original part left of the truck as it was when I bought it in March 1973. Everything else has been changed or is getting changed this time around .

This go the frame is out of a long bed half ton GMC as I am stretching the wheelbase but want to keep a 1/2 ton frame.
Front suspension is going to be industrial chassis crossmember and Dodge Dakota pieces. Rear most ;likely will be a nine inch Ford with the rear springs off the Dakota as the Dakota has a tiny rear axle.
Engine 68 Chev 292, Trans is the AX 15 trans out of the Dakota with a Novak adaper. I haven't checked the width of the seat but the Dakota may donate that too. 200 worth of donor truck going a long ways.
Stretched cab is a mix match of cabs I have collected over the years, Bed has been on the truck before but isn't the beat up one it originally came with in 1973.
Steering wheel is out of a 53 Belair Air, Dash is the original one that was in my 51 Merc coupe that I bought when I was 16 with a gauge change and hidden sound system. Steel wheels with either 55 Packard Clipper or 57 Buick hubcaps depending on how I feel that day.

*1914 Olds body, windshield and wood dash (was my grandpa's...sat in barn since 1932 till 2012)
*canvas top from 65' Triumph Spitfire....cut and sewn to fit by my wife....nice job;)
    *1947 Hudson rearend
    *1957 Willys Super-Hurricane 226 6 cyl.
    * 1919 Ford frame, boxed and 'adjusted' to fit
    *radiator from 66' Bronco
*Radiator shell is 1927 Hupmobile (tried to find a 1914 Olds....it ain't out there!)
    *1958 Willy's Wagon Transmission 3 speed
*seat is from 1960 willys jeep backseat
*1960 Impala steering wheel, with gauge cluster from 1948 Ford
    *wheels from 61' Ford Galaxie
    *hubcaps from 1959 Studebaker

_________and the 2 doors were made from vintage wood brackets of an old 1930's wooden chest...while the door skin panels were from an early 50's metal filing cabinet :D

A mish-mash of parts...but, it turned out better than expected...no complaints at normal speeds! 002.jpg
