Features Gasser Names?!

I've recently gotten all fired up over gassers. Especially traditional ones. Somewhere between seeing a club of them at delta river cruisin' and watching mike finnigan's "blasphemi" rip across the united states on a past episode of roadkill i reallly like em. one of my favorite parts to a gasser are those whacky names. Let me hear the best of em!!

Most of the Gassers from my days in the early to mid 60's just had the owners name , like mine did in turned silver leaf and that good enough for a clean and simple look

I thought of a great name for my gasser but will keep you in suspense until its painted on the door

 

The "Okie Twister" at MOKAN. The name should be self explanatory. Note the trailer house exiting the tornado graphic and if you could see the detail there is an Anglia in the tornado. We have had a lot of fun with this car.

There was a local well known '56 Chevy gasser called 'HACKSAW' and I think it is just the coolest name.

 

Rocket Ride on a 50' or so Olds..

 

Not sure what class it ran in but I recall a car named DAMYAGOFASTER.

 

Google Ohio Gassers on U tube, there is a tri 5 chevy called Blew By You. Blown sbc, and sounds bad a$$ in the burn outs. Alot of nice gassers with that bunch.

My '55 C-B/Gasser I built in '63.White Lightnin' .

 

I have a name for the one that I plan on building.
The plan is a 63 Valiant with a wavy mopar font axle, Crower stack injected 427 chevy, 4 speed and a dana 60.
Calling it Ain't Right

 

Not really a gasser "name" per-se, it was the name attached to cars that had a close connection to local legend Jack Williams. Please don't paint "Syndicate Scuderia" on your car unless you are restoring an actual "Syndicate Scuderia" race car, Jack is deceased, its in bad taste, and besides, anyone from the PNW that knows any drag racing history will think you are an idiot.
