WOW look at the roofline of the 28 1962 ford, never came from the factory like that. Rules must have been pretty easy then.

Recycling the bottles, what a novel idea...lol Only trash generated was the stopper and cellophane cover, at least on what was delivered to our house.

    Cotton pickers

When NASCAR banned the Mopar Hemi engine in 1965, two of Chrysler's biggest stars, Richard Petty and David Pearson, boycotted NASCAR completion and funneled their competitive juices into drag racing. Petty ran a more conventional door car, but Pearson teamed with car owner Cotton Owens to drive this wild, rear-engine Dodge Dart station wagon, which was built by drag racer Jay Howell at Dick Branstner’s shop and debuted in April. NASCAR owner Bill France Sr. adjusted the engine rules later in the season to bring back Petty and Pearson, who ended up competing in 14 of 55 NASCAR events.

Legendary NASCAR driver David Pearson, left, also ventured into the NHRA world at the same time as Petty. Pearson drove a Dodge Dart station wagon at several exhibition match races on the dragstrip for legendary NASCAR racer and team owner Cotton Owens. The Cotton Picker, which was fueled by a combination of nitro and alcohol and powered by a Hemi that sat in the back of the wagon, set top speed in the Experimental class at Bristol Dragway in 1965.

A 1941 Studebaker Commander emerges from the Pennsylvania Turnpike tunnel. Separate tubes opposing streams of traffic and graduated fluorescent lighting to adjust motorists’ eyes to the interior were incorporated in subsequent improvement programs, – PA Turnpike Commission

My Grandmother leaning on her Dad's 1926 Chrysler roadster with my Great Aunt sitting on the rear fender. Check out those bee's knees with the stockings rolled down....that's my Great Uncle's 1922 Essex touring car peeking out from behind the Chrysler.
