How long are you going to be in Seattle? Can put you in touch with my buddy Jerry . Some of his cars . Pm me if interested, Blue
Depending on how long your vacation is there is a ton of beautiful stuff to see within a couple of hours drive, or a short ferry ride. Vancouver island has a ton of history and some beautiful beaches, massive cedars and as many cars as the lower mainland with a way more laid back vibe.
Jerry has owned the Cad for over 45 years and has lived in Seattle his whole life . He also has a great collection of motorcycles and Al boats and trailers . Blue
The little roadster was built I believe in the 50s but jerry hasn't had it long . Him and his lovely wife were at TROG west last week on this .
I do vaguely remember that car. But honestly didnt pay ot much attention. he owns the heavy chopped sedan and the bowless trailer right? Sent from my SM-G900T using The H.A.M.B. mobile app

Why has no one recommended some of your finer dining establishments while touring the Great White North? You know ... like Tim Horton's?
Once you cross Boundary, its not that easy to find a Timmys, they are more of a rural thing, and Vancouver itself is pretty "urban hipster". That's why the car scene has moved out to the suburbs. Inside the city limits, Blenz and Starbucks outnumber Timmys by a wide margin.
If you have ever been to Stubb's BBQ in Austin you would know that a recommendation of any restaurant in Vancouver is just going to disappoint. You just can't beat genuine Texas BBQ. Tim Horton's come on? Don't waste your time looking for one, it's not like they are In n Out burgers.
As you probably know, we do have a BBQ place on Commercial in Vancouver, but I'll be damned if I was going to recommend St. Louis Blues to anyone from Texas! That's kind of like recommending a local Chinese restaurant to someone visiting from Shanghai, disappointment is the ONLY way that's gonna end! We actually used to have one that was pretty good back about twenty years ago, Fat Boys way down west Broadway, but its long gone now. If you think there aren't GREAT restaurants in Vancouver though, you just aren't getting out enough. But its not a big town for BBQ.
Most canucks on here understood the humorous intent of that comment. Our neighbors to the north have a great sense of humor, and I admire them for it.
Because of the large Asian population in Vancouver your best going for Chinese or Sushi. Either Richmond or China town in Vancouver's east side would be a good place to start. As mentioned Bbq isn't that popular here.....may have to go to Calgary for that.
Funny story... A friend of mine worked for an international insurance company, and had to entertain some corporate suits from India. Very professional and polite folks. He was taking these gentlemen out for lunch and asked if they had a preference on type of food or where to eat. Without pause, all three requested he take them to an Indian restaurant. Go figure!
It's been so long I had forgotten about Fat Boys. Thanks for the reminder! Ryan, I hope you & your wife are having a good time in our little corner of the world.
