Hi, I'm new here as a member, but have read posts with interest for a few years. I have a flathead powered Model A roadster with Ford 3 speed and a 40 rear with 3.25:1 gears. I finished it several years ago and it runs great. I inherited my Dad's '32 Tudor with a four cylinder and bodywise, it's very nice; never winter driven and not any rust through ever. I put a Lion Speed high compression head, Scalded Dog 2 barrel intake with an Edelbrock 94 carb on it, 12 volt electronic ignition and it now runs great, too. I ran an auto repair shop for 16 years and now teach auto shop and manufacturing tech at a local high school. I read with great interest the Early V8 Garage post with the '32 pickup converted to a 283. Super informative and inspirational. I have several 265/283 engines to work with and Power Pack heads, 2 x 4 intake, etc. I would drive the '32 more if it had V8 power. Of course, upgrading brakes, steering, suspension, transmission, gearing need to be done to accommodate that. The Let's build a 265 Chevy post got me collecting and trading parts and now I have a good start. Thanks HAMB
Thanks for the warm welcome. I hope to look at the short blocks of the '56 265 and two '59 283 s that I picked up. Bill
