I recently picked up a 1922 Dodge 3w Dr Coupe & am leaning towards a Late '20's Early '30's Strip Down Build.

Bassically Stock with Extra weight (Fenders & Boards) Stripped off, Stock running gear, Lowered a bit & maybe a slight Chop just to bring down the TALL roof line.

I would like to see if anyone here has one of these Coupe's or has any parts they removed from an '18~'22 Dodge in a Hot Rod Build.

I would post a pic .... But Dont know how  Any Help ?

The roof was aluminum. I have a '24 coupe but it's stock so pics of it wouldn't help you. Does it run and drive? There are lots of DB owners in Calif. How about an underslung?

Even pics of a stocker would be Cool so i can see a Stock bodied one.

I need to see the back of the Cab Area.

No underslung, They get WAYYYY to Low for them Big wheels.

Engine looks like it has been rebuilt but not sure yet, Has all th drive train in it but is missing Brake rods & some Bolt ons from the engine.

I put '25 Dodge Front Shackles on the back which are about 1 1/2 inchs longer & switched the Rear End Floater to the top of the spring.. Lowered it alot.

You can see by the difference at the rear wheel well from pic 1 & 2.

Now i need to find someone that can drop the stock axle a few inches

Very cool, I've got an '18-'22 frame I'm using...

It's cool to see what a body would have looked like on top of it.. Didn't know the rear springs stuck out like that... That's pretty cool.

All I've got for one is the front axle and the hubs, and a rear axle with no center...

Drop the front about 2", finish the cab and take about 3" or 4" out and your done!

It looks and sits perfect as is.

I wouldnt weld & Flip the front axle ... Not enough room between Springs & frame.

I won't Notch the frame either, That set up looks HOKEY to me !

    Thats the Plan ...

Going to see about dropping the front axle, Finish the Back of the Cab, Prime it one color & run it .... If the Banger comes to Life :D

Just like DE SOTO said, hardly any room for that axle once you flip it.. Pretty much the same out back too...

The rails I don't think are thick enough to cut into... and your basic up over and down notch would look like hell... but... If you took and measured the rails just after the front shackles, and just before the rears, and relief cut the hell out of a peice of square tube and bent it so it had a gradual swoop to clear the axle that wouldn't look bad.. But your basic simple notch wouldn't look right... And option 2 is alot of work... A dropped axle and if need be a couple of leaves removed would be perfect.

I'm thinkin' of tryin' the hard way out... All it takes is some square tubing and a lot of patience.. And if I don't like it the scrap trailer is a few feet away from the shop door..
