Projects 1953 Ford Victoria Build

Discussion in 'Traditional Customs' started by jerdan, Oct 16, 2016.

  1. This has been a 4-year labor of love!!!! The engine had not been running for at least 4 years, so my first project was to rebuild the original Flathead. The engine had been bored .060 oversized with adjustable lifters by the previous owner. It has the original Fordomatic transmission. It has Aerostar springs in the front, which lowered it about 3". The original leaf springs are in the rear. I had never painted a car before, but decided to paint it myself with the help and advice of my brother-in-law. The interior was done by my wife and I. I have buffed, repaired and shined all of the original chrome.

I really like it, skirts look good! I wish my 52 was a hardtop instead of a post.

[IMG] I saw this beauty for sale in Thompson Falls Mt. back in early September seemed to be in good shape but was priced @ $3500 with no motor or trans.
