Is it a mix of T and A stuff? Frame tank cowl etc look A...but the cab back screams T.... Sent from my iPhone using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
Cowl and back window kinda look like a '28 A closed cab p.u ? But the two horizontal trim details above and below the handle look like a lot of 20's GM trucks View attachment 3351472
Have to get my Ford truck book out to confirm this, but that looks like a 1926-27 TT truck cab. You can swap in a 28-29 cowl to really confuse people. frame looks to be AA truck, no idea what the axles are. Bob
Bottom of the cowl panel is curved though...aren't the TT's straight... Sent from my iPhone using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
Excellent point, maybe we are looking at an aftermarket cab that used a 28-29 Ford cowl, but that one belt molding rib on the post is odd. Bob
Agreed. That's what I can't figure out is that extra belt line.... Sent from my iPhone using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
Nope. I drive a '29A Closed Cab pickup. Not a single part of that cab is a 1928 or 1929. Not even the cowl posts. The lower bead that runs from the cab corners, across the doors, also continues onto the cowl post, and around it. This bead, and the other one does not exist on a 1928/29A closed cab. Also, the 1928/29A ccpu used the leftover doors and cowl posts from the 1927 parts bins, so "all-new" is debatable.
Is the inner door structure etc. Made of wood? Here in Canada, alot of our model a trucks (AA for sure, but not sure about the pickup) looked alot like that. Every big model a truck here I've seen (and I've seen quite a few) were different than the normal closed cab that you see from the USA.
