When you're our age you really start to understand the definition of the word "perseverance". Bill

I understand where you're coming from and feel your pain, brother.

    Keep hanging in there.

67 and feel every day of it. Too many injuries working in the steel fab industry. And a truck accident didn't help either. retired seven years ago on disability. Live on painkillers in a fog.

68 - I'm always saying 'I just want to last long enough to finish this car' -
maybe that's why I always have 2 or 3 projects going!

71 - My buddy told me we were just "circling the drain". I said, "keep your foot in it, centrifugal force is your friend".

  11. Ray, thanks for the reply. I understand the NSRA will become some sort of a tuner heaven down the road, which stinks, in my opinion.
God Bless, 50 Merc, there is an "H.A.M.B. adopted family" right here, for all of us.

61 and qualified for early CPP (Canada's version of SS) when I turned 60. Decided to keep working however until I turn 65. That way those CPP cheques go straight to the HOT ROD fund!

  18. I'm missing the point here, not understanding the comparison between NSRA and H.A.M.B

  19. No, it's not just you.
Keep as active as you can, no matter how little the activity, do the most at what you can do.
Stay on your computer, read, type, do things that make your mind "think".

  20. I know the "crawling up the side of the car" from the creeper.
My biggest worry now is getting the scratch marks off the paint ...... from my fingernails !

Will be 69 in 6 weeks, still work some when my son needs some help. Had a friend tell me a couple weeks ago at the hot rod hill climb that he knew he was going to get old but he didn't think it was going to happen this fast. Just bought another project a few weeks ago. What the HELL was I thinkin.

  25. I'll be 79 this time next month. Always looking for something to help the brain from descending into terminal stupidity. The cars covered in this forum aren't my first car persuasion but I do read and enjoy a lot of the discussions and look at every picture from all the events.

69 this past June and retired Aug. 1st. after 50 years in the workforce. Got the pensions comin' in. Blew the dust off the AV8 mockup in my avatar and am flying at it! After it comes a TBucket for my Mrs. Have a beer a day (sometimes two!) and am already forgetting what day it is. Retirement Rocks!
