Nick the Bandit and I made it down arriving Tuesday around noon after a quick stop at Posies in Hummelstown. Pretty short deck of pics but here goes:

Btw the third picture is the roadster body as seen in 33anda3rd's picture from the Brookville trailer on the upper left spot being loaded onto NTB's pickup by the Brookville team and the last picture was just before we headed home. Great trip and excellent weather IMG_1820.JPG IMG_1822.JPG IMG_1824.JPG IMG_1827.JPG IMG_1829.JPG IMG_1831.JPG IMG_1832.JPG IMG_1835.JPG

Wow some great stuff there. That has been one of my some day bucket list events ever since I first learned of it years ago. I went to Pate several times when the swap meet was actually at the Museum in the 70's usually taking enough to sell so that I had money to spend after I sold it. Hauled a completely different load of stuff back than I hauled up one year.

I was supposed to go to this, then at the last minute, the trip was canceled. Its hard to go through your week knowing that Hershey is in full swing and your not there. Waking up early in the morning to thick fog, The smells of unsweetened chocolate in the air, then later as the sun comes up, the smell of rust, old oil and grease and tents being baked by the sun. The sites of rare parts, vehicles, and antique motor cycles until now, you've only seen in magazines and books. These pictures are painful to look at, but its a sweet pain!

Well I was there too, as always the things I missed are awesome. Good thing y'all have good eyes for pics. This was my transportation from the campground to the meet each day.

Didn't even bother to sell parts this year, I walked it every day and just put a for sale sign on the car. Not many cars sold in the field or from the corral, at least not the usual number of sales. Most kept their hands in their pockets but I did get some serious leads. Bought some minor car items and this old hydrant for Mrs Highlander.

I've never been to a swap meet that had as much good stuff as Y'all have posted in the pictures from Hershey. Thanks for posting. Definitely a "Bucket List" item.

I found this. I've been toying with going with an A shell instead of '32 on my AV8. (Of course I have a rad. for a '32 shell-ugh).

I found an original commercial shell for less than a repop. I've been toying with a '32 commercial so this is even better IMHO.

In all my time swappin', I've never seen an original commercial A shell for sale, let alone for the price I paid for it. I was happy.
