You put me to shame with your show attendance John, maybe because inside I'm actually a grumpy old man (unlike yourself).
I've seen you a few times this year. #1 at Ford and Friends. #2 and 3 at Deuce Days. # 4 and 5 at Keith' s house. That's pretty good for a busy young guy !
The Chev bucket is going to get a bit of a face lift, it has a modified brass Ford Model T grill shell on it now and I always thought it might look better with a Chevrolet grill shell. After all it is a 1918 Chev!! Well guess what thanks to my good friend Keith we found one! I have to fix it up a bit, paint it and modify it to fit over the radiator. Can anybody tell me what year it is? Thanks
Very nice John, that will look great. I take back what I said on Saturday about the Whippet grille. Ron
Thanks Ron The Chevbucket would look even better with your cool combo light, turn signals license plate bracket on the back of it.
John's shoes are on backwards. Leading shoe on early Ford is the 'working' shoe, or 'long one'! Great move on the lower seat! (1962: my old bud 'Hemi Henry' built a '17 Dodge on original '17 Dodge rails, very pretty...the body and rails had a factory 'pinch' at the cowling. 392 Chrysler Hemi, '37 LaSalle box, '40 Ford rear, '37 V8 60 front tube. Seat way too high, felt uneasily 'top heavy' riding in it! He sold it to the policeman that wrote him over 7 tickets! That was 1976)
Changed the brake shoes so the long ones are on the front on all four corners. Thanks Atwater Mike for pointing this out to me. Also added brake air scoops on the front while I was at it.
