My heart broke when I heard that Ron had passed. I truly believed that all of our prayers would heal him. God had other plans I guess. In the past couple of years, God has taken too many great people from our hotrodding lives. (I'm sure he needs them to build him badass hotrods to cruise with.)

Although, I never had the privilege of meeting Ron in person, I felt like I really knew him. I always followed Ron's hotrod adventures on the internet and every time, I felt like I was right there with him. In reality, I was just sitting at a computer in an office, but it felt like I was right by his side. He took me to places that I have never been. I saw our beautiful country through the lens of his camera. I feel like I could say I was his co-pilot, maybe, as did others, I'm sure. I took those adventures with him every time he posted something and I was right there.
I thank Ron for all of those memories and will think of him and all of the people before him that have brought me into this family every time I turn the key.

So, let's turn our keys for Ron and let the adventures live on in his memory.

I know this probably only make sense to me on his passing but he was doing what he loved to do, drive his hot rod. We had a family friend that Passed about ten years ago in his big block powered altered, He was doing what he loved to do. Its just another way to deal with a loss like this.

Dagnabbit. It bumms me out that we lost another great guy in our hobby.
    God speed Ron.

  20. Been following Ron's progress daily on the special Facebook page set up by his good friend Jack and was sure praying for a different ending to his latest journey. He was a great rodder and a real trucker traveling all over the US with old friends and friends he just hadn't met yet. He made great use of his time with us and we'll all remember him long after this last journey. R.I.P Ron.

Oh no! Very sad news. I enjoyed his posts and admired his roadster. My thoughts will be with him and his family when I fire up the coupe tomorrow morning.
It also reminds me that our cars are basically motorcycles with 4 wheels. That being said I also bare in mind that one cannot control the fickle finger of fate. And the pleasures gained out way the risk taken.

I never got the chance to meet Ron, but he sure seemed like the kind of guy a lot of us wouldn't mind being. My thoughts and prayers go out for his wife and family.

I haven't been on here in a while. Ron inspired me to build my '32. His red and black Coupe back when he built it was BOSS. R.I.P. Ron! Thanks for taking us on one heck of a ride!
