Me and my friends and family as well as the many hot rodder's I know in Oregon continue to pray for Ron. I am sure he is anxious to get this done and get back to spending time with his grand children.
For those interested, there has been a "Go Fund Me" Account sent up for donations to him. Dig deep or short but dig and donate !!
Here is a link to the account. Strength in numbers here. Most important, lets all continue to keep Ron and Holly as well as the rest of there family in our daily prayers. God Bless, Tom https://www.gofundme.com/ronhickman
For us that don't subscribe to fb whats the latest news on Ron. Prayers are a part of my life and Ron is in them daily. HRP
This is quoted by Holly (Ron's wife) on FB, 2 hrs ago and it is great news. "Today was a good day! Doctors are bringing Ron out of the induced coma. He will still be heavily sedated and on pain management, but this is a good step. Three or four more good days and we will be able to schedule back surgery. Thank you all for prayers and positive energy." Glad to share this news, Tom
Thank you for sharing this fantastic news! That's wonderful,All the prayers haven't fallen on deaf ears,God is in control!HRP
Hi Jack, I cannot imagine being in your position, having a close personal friend like Ron being in the condition he is in. I am one of many people who have come to know someone they don't really know through these media outlets such as H.A.M.B and Facebook. In the last month, not a day goes by that I don't think about Ron and his family. I have followed some of Ron's adventures on facebook and he has always inspired me. I just recently in the last year decided to build myself a 32 Roadster and have met many great people as a result of that decision. I hope that someday, our paths will cross and I can introduce myself properly to Ron and yourself and a few others. To me it is much more rewarding to shake a mans hand than it is to put a smiley face after a paragraph or sentence posted on a thread. I do appreciate the fact that I can reach out to people all over the world who share a common interest and can communicate ideas. I am sure in due time, you and your friend Ron will be doing another 6000 miles. I would love to join in on that adventure. My family and friends will continue to pray for Ron and Holly as well as there family and friends. Please let me know if there is anything you need from me moving forward. God bless and take care, Tom Garris from Junction City, OR
This was from Holly just a while ago: "Sat 8/27 update -- Ron had a fine day. He made small progress. He will be awake/aware within the next few days. We are waiting for the two major surgeries. Thank you all." It is great news and it looks promising at this point but we need to continue our prayers for Ron and his family. God bless, Tom
"Sun 8/28 update -- I am happy to report that Ron made another baby step in the right direction today." From Holly Hickman just 15 minutes ago. Great news but keep the prayers going for Ron and family. God Bless, Tom
Not a problem. I want to make sure everyone is kept in the loop here. I am sure Ron has a long recovery ahead but today sounds like it has been better than the last which is always good news.
"Wed 8/31 update -- Ron had another good day. Thanks to all for continued prayers and good thoughts!" This from Holly just minutes ago. Please continue your prayers for him and his family. God Bless, Tom
